This is quite a find! I wonder what's growing on that angle. How funny that it looks like pins stuck in a voodoo doll.
He looks a little the worse for wear, but being an angel is a tough job. Boom & Gary of the Vermilon River, Canada.
Nice capture! Would love to read more about the pic.
Beautiful and dramatic white angel!!G is for...
What an amazing statue -- even full of "pins"!! Terrific post for the G Day and incredible captures as always. I, too, was first reminded of a voodoo doll! Hope your week is going well, Yoshi! Enjoy!SylviaABC Team

a single image speaks such a lot of things huh? wonderful.!
Well you certainly posted an original for the letter G. Great find and I too would like to know more about the angel.
Ouch, reminds me of Saint Sebastian on his last day.
Gosh that sure makes an impression! I guess the spikes are to keep the birds away or is there another meaning?
A very intriguing and interesting statue. Happy WW!
Brilliant photo! The Nixalite on the statue looks like a cross between porcupine quills and rays from heaven.
What a spiky statue. Happy WW! :)
Very nice photo about the fluting angel. But what are those spikes growing out of it? :)
A thorny angel!
I love how in order to protect statues like this they put these spikes in. Great shot though!
Calling by from Italy via Outdoor Wednesday to visit another participant. It is so sad that they have to put pigeon spikes on such a beautiful statue.
Your picture is perfect, this sculpture is amazing!Léia - Bonjour Luxembourg
Very original shot....Great image.
Yikes! This is certainly an interesting photo!
That was really unusual. Someone said the thing growing was Nixalite so I'll have to google it.
A pigeon would dare not land on that statue!
oh my what a beautiful statue but a bit unusual as there is no color
Fascinating!Well captured.
It isn't easy being an angle, especially out in the elements as this one seems to be!!!
The spikes add another dimension to the sculpture, doesn't it! Interesting capture.
Spikes probably keep the pigeons off the angel?Joyce M
