Tsuruta Pond
We are currently in the middle of the rainy season and I am sort of reluctant to photograph when it's wet. But occasionally I strive to be an early bird and head to the pond named Tsuruta pond. It takes approx. 5 min to get there by car.
I was the only human being there when this photo was taken. I could only hear ducks making noise in the mist...
The haze has gone when the sun appeared and when it's not windy, the surface of this pond looks like a mirror with a few feathers floating.
Here is another photo taken there. Eventually you can see ducks (click image to enlarge)!
This is an entry for Show Me Japan Vol 1, Issue 29. If you want to see nice photos taken in Japan, don't forget to visit!!!

The first photo is so calm, so tranquil and so mysterious.
ReplyDeleteThe second is an awesome reflection shot. Very nice, Yoshi!
I feel so relaxed looking at both photos. :)
Very nice! It looks so peaceful.
ReplyDeleteGreat to see you back again with the same high quality!! Boom & Gary of the Vermilon River, Canada.
ReplyDeleteThese are wonderful Yoshi, particularly the first with the misty mood of the pond on full display in your beautiful image. I like being alone with nature, especially early in the morning when there is so much calm.
ReplyDeletethe first photo exhibits no clue as to its whereabouts and that's unusual for your photographs Yoshi. you regularly take photos that identify your homeland. I have no preference as I marvel at all of your images.
ReplyDeletethe serenity is unequaled and the mist adds atmosphere. it's a wonderful photo. and so too is the second. they both increase my belief in magical moments! have a wonderful weekend Yoshi. stay dry.
Beautiful calm shots.... lovely:)
ReplyDelete曇天の湖面に漂う霧を眺めていると脳内でからまった紐がほどけそうな気がします。こんな場所はあるようで、なかなか見つからないものですよね。一連の詩のようで素敵です!
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful...

Nice landscape, I think this place is a little bit mystic :)
ReplyDeleteI like the tones of the photo.
Have a good week Yoshi!
As is said that the early bird catches the worm, you were so lucky to be able to monopolize such serene and beautiful nature and take such breathtaking photos. When I go on a travel, I get up so early, but at home, I’m not an early bird at all. Thank you for sharing.
ReplyDeleteThere is a special magic to a misty morning and you communicate it beautifully here.
ReplyDeleteOh, amazing scenery!! You got two things, fog and perfect mirror image. They are so difficult to get in right time and right place, and I'm always chasing them. Even half rotten woods in the pond look like precious artifacts. Mysterious shots. Yoshi, have a great day!
ReplyDeleteI don't blame you for not wanting to go out in the rain. The pond is beautiful especially with the fog over the water.
ReplyDeleteJust discovered your blog. Beautiful capture.
ReplyDeleteThat first shot is just magical. So glad to see you back.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful images!
ReplyDeletePhotographing rain is a challenge and I love taking on that challenge! Gorgeous shots! I'm reconnecting myself with learning Japanese nowadays...haaays so nice I'd love to see this in person!
ReplyDeleteThat first picture is completely gorgeous! Sometimes there is nothing better than waking up early and going to a place where you are completely alone to just really appreciate nature.
ReplyDeleteThat first shot is utterly magical!
ReplyDeleteoh, yes, it's a beautiful place, very well captured...
