Lime Factory Part 2
Another photo of the Lime factory in the industrial area of Tochigi city. I find this old factory beautiful in its own way and I am utterly obsessed by this industrial area! A ragged beauty, sort of?
If you are curious about this area, please click the photo below.
This is also an entry for Show Me Japan Vol 1, Issue 15. If you want to see nice photos taken in Japan, don't forget to visit!
And also for Sunday In My City.

ReplyDeleteWe share a common obsession; I enjoy industrial areas too! This is a neat photo, lots of intricate details.
ReplyDeleteStunning shot!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you did another, I really like this! It's almost like some beautiful yet decayed carcass trying to come back to life (I mean this in a good way :)
ReplyDeleteIt looks 200 years old factory! Is it still working? Unbelievable! Your nice photo also looks like an old picture. Excellent!
ReplyDeleteThe color in this photo is just awesome!
ReplyDeleteamazing photos
ReplyDeleteWow, it's still so hard to believe a place like this actually exists outside of movies. (Reminds me a bit of LOTR, when they're prepping for the war. ;))
ReplyDeleteThat first picture looks like the set for The Postman.
ReplyDeleteInteresting photos.
I find it beautiful as well! The colorings almost look like sepia. Beautiful, just beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThis picture is fascinating. I loved looking at all of the details. My grandpa was a miner in western Pennsylvania.
ReplyDeleteWOW!!! This shot of the lime factory is even more impressive that the other one. If I had all of this near me, I would be photographing it, too. Awesome capture.
ReplyDeleteYour right in saying it is a rugged beauty. It tells such a story and is such an awesome subject for your photo.
ReplyDeleteYou took something most of us would consider quite ugly and made it beautiful through your photograph. Stunning work.
ReplyDeleteI can't even imagine seeing this in person. It's amazing and a little scary all at the same time. Wow.
ReplyDeletejj
I agree, it is beautiful. Also compliments to the photographer - it's well composed and very well taken.
ReplyDeleteI love the way it is made up of many shades of grey. I like industrial scenes and agree they are beautiful in their own way.
ReplyDeleteI think I've driven past this area in Tochigi. Lovely picture. I can completely catch what you want to convey through your picture. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteIt is strangely beautiful in its monochrome glory.
