That's What Moms Are For

Photographed at Futaarasan Chugushi Shrine in Nikko city. Kids wearing traditional kimono were well-behaved and moms took good care of them.

This is a Black and White Weekend, Shadow Shot Sunday #144, Weekend Portrait #2.

  1. I have a son because I definitely can't do that. Won't be much good for a daughter since I can't even tie my own hair properly. ;)

  16. Thanks to precious and heartwarming moment you captured.
    お嬢さんの着物と手にあるものから厳かな儀式に臨む直前のようですね。緊張気味のお母さんの古風な着物の柄がモノトーンでさらに素敵に見えます。ありがとう。

  19. my eldest daughter is 17...she still comes to me to braid her hair in the morning before school on "chemistry" days. She could do it herself, of course, but there is something still wonderful about having your mother touch your hair and scalp.
